DAY 1 SUMMARY: PAKISTAN VS BANGLADESH

“The first Test match of the two-match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh commenced today, but was delayed due to rain. The match, initially scheduled to start at 10 pm Pakistan time, finally began at 2:40 pm, with only 41 overs played on the opening  day.”

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Pakistan’s top order batsmen were dismissed cheaply, leading to a collapse.

Saim Ayub and Saud Shakeel formed a crucial 98-run partnership to stabilize the innings.

Saim Ayub got out, but Muhammad Rizwan came in and remained not out on 24.

Saud Shakeel also remained not out on 57.

The partnership between Saim Ayub and Saud Shakeel saved Pakistan from a difficult situation.

Pakistan was struggling at 23/3 at one point but managed to reach 158/4 by the end of Day 1.
